The Race
The always sold-out Frozen Tundra IPA is back on Saturday, February 3, 2024 for another great out and back 5K along the beautiful Des Plaines River Trail! Followed by a balmy post-race party at Half Day Brewing. Festivities include music, beer and gift cards from Tap House and Half Day Brewing! Brave the Cold with a Brisk 5K and Be Rewarded with Cool Gear (and Beer)!

**If you are unable to attend Packet Pickup on the Friday before the race, you can pick it up on Race Day for a FEE. There is a $5.00 fee per packet, per paid participant that you can pay during registration or cash day-of. To avoid paying this fee, please attend Packet Pickup in person the days prior.
Packet Shipping
PACKET SHIPPING
Make your life easier and skip the lines! All you need to do is choose the packet shipping option during registration and we will have your race packet shipped directly to your front door for only $14.95! Your packet includes your race shirt, bib, and more!
If you opt for packet shipping during registration, there is no requirement to attend packet pick up. Packet shipping is a convenient option for those with tight schedules.
Please be sure to verify your mailing address during the registration process, as we are not responsible for misdirected packets. We will close packet mailing two weeks before the race, so be sure to sign up early! Packets will be shipped out the Monday before the race.

Awards
Awards will be given to the top three male and top three females as well as age group awards. There will also be a ton of prizes and awards given out including middle of the pack, best costume, and best snow angel!
There will be an awards ceremony at 11:00 AM during the Post Race Party. If you do not stay for the awards ceremony and want your award shipped to you, you must pay a shipping fee. Please look for a post-race email on how to submit for your award.
Start and Finish Line
Start and Finish Lines will be right outside the front door of Half Day Brewing. Check out the course map!
Timing and Race Bibs
Timing will be a gun start and manual timing with RD Mobile Timing and bib numbers.
Clock will be at the start and finish.
Parking
Free Parking will be available at Half Day Brewing Company.
Gear Check
There will be no Gear Check at the Frozen Tundra. We ask that you keep all personal items locked inside your vehicle.
Post Race Party
Post Race Party is included in the 5K cost:
- Ice-Cold Half Day Brewing Frozen Tundra IPA, Hot Toddy, Soft Drinks & Food Buffet
- TIME: 10AM-1PM
